Pedro Almeida was born on December 13, 1997, in Vila Nova de Famalicão. Still young, with only 8, a new passion for the motorized sport arose. Therefore, the young driver obtains his first sport license declared by the Portuguese Federation of car race and karting, for his first trial at the wheel of a competition vehicle.
The first steps were taken in the "school" of competition, in karting. Everything was summed up to a pleasure, and a great will to walk on the limits. It took two years of learning in the National Karting Championship, Cat. Evo A, followed by the National Karting Championship Cat, Evolution 2011.
With only 16 years old, in 2014 Pedro Almeida sets off to the National Rallycross Championship Cat. S2000, becoming Vice Champion of the National Junior Rallycross Cat. Super National and National Junior Champion at Cat. S2000. In the following year meets a new achievement, becoming Vice Champion at the National Junior Rallycross Cat. S1600 and National Junior Champion in the same category.
The fulfilment of a dream, quickly became reality. The dedication and ambition for rallies, merged together in the path of success! Throughout the debut year in ralies, the young driver from Famalicão, ensured the title on the category P1 (Promotion), becoming the best "rookie" of 2016. The professionalism with which Pedro Almeida faced this boost, justified the reliance on a future filled with triumphs. And, the truth is that the excellent results on the modality did not wait long to occur.
Addressing the capital of knowledge and experience, Pedro Almeida faces in 2017 a new international project, with inroads on the Galician Rallies Championship - Top Ten Pirelli-Castrol Trophy, commanding a Renault Clio R3. In the same year, wins Famalicão´s Rally, a premiere running in his "home", driving a Skoda Fábia S2000.
Having in mind the obtained results in such short period, it´s time to have bigger ambitions, but the same goal: ensure the "DNA" of achievements and professionalism in the Portuguese Rallies Championship.
And in the first year the results speak for themselves: 6th place in the CPR, a season that ended in Algarve with a 4th place among the pilots of the Portuguese Rally Championship.
2019 brings new challenges with a new car - Skoda Fabia R5 - and guaranteed participation in all races of the Portuguese Rally Championship for the second consecutive year.
